It is important to remember that most problems are corrected by referring to the user manual or by soft resetting your navigation system. The reset button is located at the rear of your ProNav PNN-300 and PNN200 and to reset the system, gently press the button using the stylus and the system will restart.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. I don't seem to have all the bridges, as sometimes I am sent towards a bridge that is too low for my vehicle, why?
Firstly check that you have set the correct height for your vehicle in ProNav setup. If so then the data for that bridge (or other restriction) is still due to be collected. Don't worry that is why we are making a free map and transport data update available in 2010.

2. I thought I was due to get free map and transport data update but I did not receive it, why?
A free map and transport data update will be made available around the 3rd quarter of 2010 and provided you have registered your ProNav PNN-300 system, we will notify you automatically by email when it is available to download. If you have not registered as yet please Click Here to do so.

3. Occasionally I get an alert for a speed camera that is not on the road I am on, why?
The speed camera alert system works by scanning an area in front of the car (in the software) looking for cameras that are on the road network. If you have set the alert time at 15-20 seconds then you will receive more alerts for cameras that might not be on the road. By setting a lower alert time you can reduced the number of alerts, just go to 'setup', then 'safety cameras' and setting the alert time for either 5 or 10 seconds.

4.What is the four digit code for the Bluetooth pairing?
The number required for pairing the Bluetooth function is '8888'

5. When I plug in my ProNav to my PC, Windows Vista wont recognise it?
Windows Vista comes with a pre-installed version of Microsoft ActiveSync. For a trouble shooting guide Click Here (opens new website).

6.After I have installed Microsoft Activesync, I get an error message saying ' Cannot verify the version of activesync on your device', why?
On some laptops and PC's, after you install Microsoft Activesync and connect your ProNav it displays the message 'cannot verify the version of activesync on your device'. If this message is displayed please uninstall your version of Activesync (via Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs) and then download and install Activesync version 3.8. Click Here to download (opens third party site) and select version (build 5004) from HPC:Factor. There is also a good installation guide below the download area and make sure you DO NOT connect your ProNav until after you have installed Activesync.
